Nathan Jenson was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and has been in the carnival business for over 30 years.  He spent his first twelve years working for Great Western Carnival.  Nathan has worked in every aspect of the carnival business:   games, food, rides, and maintenance.  He was the manager of a carnival for three years before starting his own.  The hands on experience gives him the expertise to run a top notch carnival!  Michelle Jensen was born in the carnival business and spent her summer vacations working for her parents carnival games while growing up in Phoenix.  Michelle moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona and it was in college where Nathan and Michelle met.  After completing their education, Michelle and Nathan were married.  Now, they have six children.Their previous carnival experience and knowledge made starting a carnival business an easy decision for them.   They began with games and concessions and shortly after, because of their success, they were able to purchase rides and attractions.  This is truly a dream come true for two people that appreciate and know the carnival business.

Safety & Maintenance

We're proud of our safety program and procedures at Midway West Amusements.  Each week, our safety team (made up of trained, senior employees) inspects each and every ride!  We attend safety seminars, such as NAARSO, where we learn the newest safety techniques.  Our employees are highly trained for their positions.  They participate in a rigid training program to learn the safe operation of the rides and participate in "on-the-job-training" with a senior employee / supervisor before they are allowed to operate rides. 

Midway West is a DRUG FREE workplace!
We are proud to be a drug free workplace!  Employees of Midway West Amusements are required to submit a random drug test to ensure the safety of all our guests.

• KEEP hands, arms and legs inside ride at all times. 
• USE safety equipment such as a seat belt, shoulder harness or lap bar when provided.
• STAY in ride until it comes to a complete stop.
• READ posted rules.
• OBSERVE age, height and weight restrictions.
• FOLLOW instructions of ride operator.
